Will my silver tarnish?

Solid .925 sterling silver is naturally resistant to tarnish with regular wear. For pieces you set aside for a while, the polishing cloth we include with every order brings the shine right back. Avoid chlorine, saltwater, and harsh chemicals.

What sizes do the chains come in?

Chains: 18", 20", 22", 24", and 26" depending on the style. Bracelets: 7", 8", and 9". See each product page for specifics.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Free US shipping, 3–5 business days. International shipping available at checkout; delivery times vary by country.

What if I don’t like it?

Thirty-day free returns and exchanges, on any piece, no questions asked. Every Mettle piece also carries a lifetime repair and re-polish guarantee.

Is the silver really solid sterling?

Yes. Every piece is solid .925 sterling — no plating, no hollow shortcuts — assayed in-house so what you pay for is what you wear. We’re happy to show you the assay reports on request.

How much of my order goes to the artisans?

Five percent of every order is paid directly to the cooperative of silversmiths in Jaipur who make the jewelry. Details on the Artisans page.

Why no natural diamonds?

The natural diamond trade has unresolved conflict, labor, and environmental issues we refuse to participate in. When we launch rings, we’ll offer only lab-grown stones — optically identical, ethically clean, a fraction of the price. See Sourcing.
